If you’re open to news ideas and want to make the world a better place, or if you just want to sit back and be inspired by the stories and energy of experienced entrepreneurs, you can’t miss De Pijp’s Happy Startup School event on June 24. Just kick back on the couch in their living room style office in the city center and enjoy the ride.
So who’s it for? Anyone who’s interested in social entrepreneurship, sustainability, startups and new and innovative ways of working is more than welcome to join. Doesn’t matter whether you’re an entrepreneur, a student, or if you’re just chock full of great ideas.
The event was inspired by a recent episode of the Dutch documentary series Tegenlicht, about sustainable and socially conscious entrepreneurship and the interest generated by it.
Whoever you are and whatever you do, you’ll be going home with:
- valuable new contacts
- a full stomach
- all the tools you need to get started
- more than enough energy to grab opportunities with both hands
- cool stories from entrepreneurs like WAKAWAKA and Yoni.Care
- a bag full of tips and tricks from Kees Klomp, Maurits Groen and others
The Happy Startup School
DePijp Groningen is a community workspace for startups and creatives in the heart of Groningen, and the Happy Startup Experience is a collaboration with the Happy Startup School, based in Brighton, England. Initiators Laurence McCahill and Carlos Saba are the driving force behind The Happy Startup School – a growing global movement of people that believe there's more to life, and business, than making money.
They're passionate about creating inspiring experiences both online and in the real world that transform and connect such as their annual 3 day Summer Camp in the UK where 120 likeminded people come together.
As well as building their community, they can be found speaking at events all over the globe about purposeful entrepreneurship, happiness and building loveable products. They'll be sharing their story in Groningen and running a couple of sessions to give us a flavour of their secret sauce for building a startup – and life – full of purpose.
