More and more entrepreneurs find it important to have a positive effect on society in addition to making a profit with their company. For some entrepreneurs, this social impact is even more important than making a profit. Financial profit is only a means for them to increase their social, social or environmental impact. How can profit-driven and impact-driven go hand in hand? How do you monitor the balance?
VNO-NCW MKB Noord and Impact Noord are convinced that doing business with impact has a positive effect on the social and economic success of your company. This also fits in well with the new vision of VNO-NCW and MKB Nederland, which focuses on achieving a society with equal opportunities, a sustainable living environment and sufficient economic growth to enable broad prosperity.
VNO-NCW MKB Noord and Impact Noord work together to help entrepreneurs connect their social mission with their business-economic mission. We do this in joint events and on the basis of beautiful, inspiring examples from the North. That is why we invite you to:

* Entrepreneurs with impact:
Douwe Jan Boersma is the founder and former general director of Health2Work in Surhuisterveen. He has now started Opnieuw BV in Buitenpost. This new concept is all about meaningful entrepreneurship with people at a distance from the labor market in combination with circular products. In short, a social enterprise with ambition.
Adriaan Pals is a (social) entrepreneur. With Toolbox Emmen, Bakkie coffee and
Servates, among others, he tries to achieve social changes. In particular by showing that social issues can be approached differently.
At the flexible workshop Toolbox Emmen people get the opportunity to develop their talent and realize their ideas, with Bakkie Koffie jobs are created by producing coffee locally and Servates is a participant tracking system that can measure people's well-being.
