Impact College #3

The third Impact College is just around the corner. After two successful Impact Colleges on two important transitions, Impact College #3 is about the transition from fossil energy to renewable energy on November 30 from 4 to 5:30 PM.

We will welcome two speakers from the leading company Lightyear, which has been developing the first car that runs on solar cells since 2016! The design of this car originated from Solar Team Eindhoven's entry for the World Solar Challenge. Event marketer Liz Engelberts and electrical engineer Chris Vorster will offer their insight on the energy transition and talk about the development of the Lightyear One, the first model, which will probably be on the market in 2022.

The story of Lightyear is scientifically introduced by Dr. ir. Martin van der Laan. He is professor of System Integration in the Energy Transition, one of the teaching assignments within the Energy Transition professorship of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. The scientific introduction underpins, supports and gives context to Lightyear's practical story.

Don't want to miss this lecture? Sign up!! Good to know: this course is partly taught in English. As with previous Impact Colleges, this is a hybrid event. We will of course take into account the corona measures and will let you know a few days before the lecture whether you can be present online or physically.
