The nlgroeit ENTREPRENEURS TOUR is a hybrid meeting where 25 entrepreneurs from the Northern Netherlands region have the opportunity to be present live. The session can also be followed via a live stream where viewers can ask questions to Bas and Luuc. During this hour, these two top entrepreneurs will talk about the growth of their business, the difficult moments, challenges of the corona crisis and how they keep going. Bas van der Veldt started at AFAS as a product manager at the age of 19. During his study Business Information Systems at the University of Amsterdam, he mastered the IT world. Via manager product management and director of product development, he became General Manager (CEO) and figurehead of AFAS in 2008 and still is. Under his leadership, AFAS grew by more than 700% and became a leading company with more than 190 million turnover and excellent returns. In 2018, Bas and his colleagues received the prestigious Koning Willem 1 award for excellent entrepreneurship from Queen Máxima. After his bachelor's degree in Marketing and Sales in Leeuwarden, Luuc Elzinga started Actavant; a sales consultancy agency in Amsterdam. He became a venture partner of Investion, an early stage VC. With his mission to make culture more accessible, he grew with a ticket platform for museums and attractions Tiqets from start-up to global partner. Various investments were reviewed. In 2019, Tiqets received an investment of $ 60 million from Airbnb. With the world's top-rated platform for museums and attractions, Luuc connects new audiences to 3,000 locations.
