About this Event
On behalf of the teams of KPN Liaison and KPN Ventures, we would like to invite you for the 18th edition of our Startup Afternoon.
The theme of this edition is 5G. However, we welcome companies from all variaties of industries to join this event!
5G connects everything and everyone. While many emerging opportunities arise at the moment in the business market, they will have a huge impact on the consumer market. For example, emergency services are connected to traffic lights and patients are remotely connected to their doctor. Check this video for some nice examples and inspiration.
At this 18th edition of our Startup Afternoon, we will bring together 5G opportunities from the business and consumer market.
Therefore, we are highly interested in your innovative solutions that can contribute to this new networking technology, and welcome you to speeddate with KPN or other external partners. We are looking for proven concepts and innovations that can leverage KPNs 5G value added services. Think about technologies which need low latency, reliability, stability and speed of the network.
Non-5G/IoT related startups/scaleups are more than welcome to join the event as well and / or sign up for the speeddate sessions .
The program consists of
- A plenary opening session by Jacob Groote (EVP 5G at KPN), with an inspiring lecture about the introduction of the new 5G network, and what possibilities this brings also for startups & scaleups. Jacob discusses how opportunities that arise from 5G, bring together the customer and business market.
- The possibility to speeddate with KPN, KPN ventures, several external investors and other corporates. In previous editions, you had the chance to speeddate with renowned names, such as AWS, Albert Heijn, ABN Amro, TIIN Capital, Volta Ventures, Cottonwood Technology Fund, Health Innovations, EIT digital, and The Next Women.
- We will encourage informal online networking by a networking app, so that you can see who is attending the event
