Weekly update: €10m for health scale-ups, free advertising and more

News for entrepreneurs: Axivate Capital has €10 million immediately available for innovative health and med tech scale-ups, NDC offers free advertising space for entrepreneurs, NOM offers payment deferral, City makes funds available for innovation and more.


€10 million for health scale-ups

Axivate Capital announced to make a total of €10 million immediately available for investments in health and med tech startups. The fund will invest amounts between 500K and 2.5M euros in scale-ups that contribute to the development of value based healthcare, in return for a substantial minority or controlling interest. Aside from capital, Axivate also offers active support in scaling up.


Free advertising in Northern Dutch newspapers

NDC Media Group, publisher of local news outlets Dagblad van het Noorden, Leeuwarder Courant and Friesch Dagblad, wants to support local entrepreneurs by offering free advertising space for special initiatives. There is room for multiple ads per day and the offer lasts until April 6.


Deferral of interest payments

Investment company NOM announced deferral of payments for startups and companies they’ve invested in. This means companies in their investment portfolio can suspend interest and other payments for a maximum period of 3 months. The NOM is also currently thinking of other ways to help the companies they’ve invested in.


Funds for innovation

The City of Groningen announced it now offers a budget of €250,000 to support new initiatives, revenue models and emergency measures. This way, the City wants to help entrepreneurs and organizations with innovative ideas.


Podium for entrepreneurs

Spot TV Groningen will host a special, weekly Support Your Locals Livestream and is looking for entrepreneurs to join. The live stream will offer local entrepreneurs a platform, as well as an auction for their product or service.


Warehouse Groningen now live

Startup in Residence alumnus Zupr teamed up with Dropper to create a shopping platform to help local shops and stores. On warenhuis.groningen.nl, you can order from local shops and have them delivered at home.


Techleap publishes Corona impact report for startups

Techleap.nl surveyed 400 startups and scale-ups about their challenges and concerns regarding corona. This shows that the corona crisis is already causing a direct delay in funding for about a third of start-ups and scale-ups. 66% say they urgently need money to bridge the next few months. They will use this research to come up with ways to support startups and scale-ups on a national and European level. Check out the report on their website.
